Activities for Schools

We have developed a number of activities for schools, to explore Exeter's Multicultural history. Most are suitable for Key Stage 2, 3 and 4. The development of school's activities has been a key objective of this project.

Exploring the Website

This is a useful two-hour lesson plan (or it could be split over several lessons) to introduce students to this website and some of the stories. It was designed for use in an EFL classroom (English as a Foreign Language) but could equally be used in a Secondary school, FE or HE.

Ganesh and Exeter's Museum

An activity for KS2 or KS3 to explore the Hindu Deity Ganesh and the statue in Exeter's Museum. Students watch our film 'Three Stories of Ganesh' and explore the meaning of the story and the process of acquiring 'artefacts' for Museums. The activity will tie in well with a visit to the Museum.
